You might have an older house. There are a lot of them in Peachtree City built in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s. This homeowner had one that had old wooden garage doors where the paint was peeling, they had to be opened manually and overall were just a pain. They called us up and we inspected their garage to see what could be done.
The garage itself was in good repair and could support a lift so we are on our way to getting this home updated and working again. We showed a few different options, but the homeowner was adamant about maintaining the character of the house. In the end, an aluminum door with a similar look was chosen. The only thing really different was the vertical slats in between the trim pieces where they had flat wood before.
The garage door works wonderfully, now. Thanks to a remote and new lifts that are quiet and efficient. These homeowners are extremely satisfied. So much so that we have an ongoing maintenance contract with them.
