Here’s a job we did…

You might have an older house. There are a lot of them in Peachtree City built in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s. This homeowner had one that had old wooden garage doors where the paint was peeling, they had to be opened manually and overall were just a pain. They called us up and we inspected their garage to see what could be done.

The garage itself was in good repair and could support a lift so we are on our way to getting this home updated and working again. We showed a few different options, but the homeowner was adamant about maintaining the character of the house. In the end, an aluminum door with a similar look was chosen. The only thing really different was the vertical slats in between the trim pieces where they had flat wood before.

The garage door works wonderfully, now. Thanks to a remote and new lifts that are quiet and efficient. These homeowners are extremely satisfied. So much so that we have an ongoing maintenance contract with them.

If only one spring broke, do I need to replace both springs?
No, but it might be a good idea. Springs only last so long before they break. If they are the same age and one broke it is a good idea to replace the other one. If we just replace the one, it is pretty typical that the other spring will break in the near future. There is also a cost benefit to replacing both at the same time so it is recommended if they are the same age. However, if one spring is newer than the other then you are probably ok with just replacing the one broken one. Call us with any questions and we will give you an honest answer.
I have the torsion springs that are vertical on the sides of the garage. Can I convert those to the springs that are above the door?
Yes! We can convert to overhead springs. This is a popular conversion as overhead springs have less problems. Call us for pricing on our spring conversion.
Can I buy the spring from you and install it myself?
Yes! We will sell you just the spring.
However, we do not recommend anyone replacing a garage door spring that is not familiar with how it works and has experience in replacing garage door springs. These springs are under a lot of tension and can seriously injure you if you are not careful. With that said, we will need the size of the door, the number of springs on the door, the door material (wood or aluminum), and if there are any markings on the springs. There are different springs depending on how heavy the door is. If you are unsure just call us and we will help you figure out what springs you need.
Can I come to your store and buy garage door parts?
We do sell parts, but we don’t have a storefront. Because or service is always at our customers locations we don’t need to have a storefront. If you need to purchase a part, call us. One of our service Techs can usually meet you somewhere close.
